Every flow is different, as is every person. So, what works best for you might not work best for someone else. How many pants you need depends on a few variables like:  

1. How long does your period usually last?  
2. Do you want to wear the pants day and night?  

The answers to these questions should lead you to a good number of pants, but a bit of trial and error, and seeing what works for you might also do the trick. We would recommend 3-5 pairs for daytime and 3-5 pairs for overnight.

You can wear Ugly Pants for up to 12 hours, but this may vary based on your flow. Listen to your body, and change more frequently on heavier days.

When they start to feel wet or you've reached the 12- hour mark, it's time to change. Just like with traditional period products, personal comfort is key.

Besides menstrual care, they're great for postpartum bleeding, light bladder leaks, or any day you want extra protection and confidence.
